COMPOSITE ITEMs
Much like Composite Resources, Composite Items allow you to gather together existing library items to create a new, compound item that will save time when pricing work. They can be useful for compound rates such as external walls; foundations; roofs; even a complete extension if you find youself using the same items each time. When copied to a bill page they can remain as single items or expanded into their component parts. Key Features
Composite Items are items which have a special status but are listed together with the other items in your item library. You can identify them by their bold No / ID in the left column An example of a composite item could be an external wall, where you select the brickwork, timber frame and plasterboard items from an existing set of library items to create a new composite item. Composite items can save a lot of time but make sure you also fully understand their potential complexity. Notes
